Maintain Social Distancing
At the studio:
- When dropping children off at the studio please be sure to drop off your child get them settled in and leave promptly. If there is another family still in the studio when you drop off please wait outside until the other student is in the studio on the dance floor.
- Please have students dressed and ready for class as the bathroom will not be used as a dressing area this semester.
- No one other than students will be permitted to stay in waiting area while class is in session.
- When Class is over, try and stay outside for dismissal.
- At this time, all students and teachers must be masked.
- Masks must cover mouth and nose and not be loose on the face.
- Masks worn must easily stay in children’s face. If a mask falls off instructors will not be able to assist students with helping students. I have found disposable masks stay on easier and are easier for younger children to out on.
- Please note that the door to the studio will remain open throughout winter like last year to maximize air circulation. Please make sure to have students dressed for a colder class such as leg warmers, dance sweaters, leggings etc.
Personal Hygiene for ALL Classes:
- All dance gear should be washed after class.
- Reusable bottles are required, cups will not be provided
- Hand Sanitizer will be at the doorway for parents and students upon entry.
- It is also recommended to use some hand sanitizer when you leave.
Cleaning Protocols
- All classes will be scheduled for appropriate time gaps to allow proper cleaning between each class.
- The space will be sanitized in between sessions wiping down all surfaces that have been touched (included door knobs)
- Bathrooms will be wiped down after each use and sanitized between each class.
- Honeywell Heppa Air Purifiers will be put in the space and on during classes. (though this will not prevent transmission of COVID, it will add the benefits of purifying other germs and allergens.
Stay at Home Requirements:
- Please do not come to Amanda Kupillas Dance if your unvaccinated child has come in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID and you have been asked to quarantine. If you are enrolled in a TTS (test to stay) program, you can not attend classes until your quarantine is officially over.
- If your child is fully vaccinated you may follow the CDC guidelines and return to class when your doctor has cleared your child to return.
- If you have recently traveled and there has been guidelines placed regarding quarantining please do not come to class until your quarantine us over.
- Anyone with an elevated temperature of 100 degrees or higher will not be able to enter.
Online Classes Using Zoom
- If the studio has to close due to a rise in Covid-19 Cases or any other reasons due to Covid-19. Instruction will continue live through zoom.
Covid-19 Response Plan:
- All affected parents/guardians will notified via email that is provided upon enrollment if your child has been in close contact with a student with COVID
- If the Studio is shut down because NY State decides to shut the state down, classes will be held via zoom.
- Should I become sick due to COVID I will try my hardest to supply a substitute teacher to continue dance class curriculum.
- Should I become sick (not related to COVID, or a family member becomes sick), a substitute teacher will be provided or a make up session.
Teachers:
All teachers and guest teachers at Amanda Kupillas Dance must be fully vaccinated in order to teach classes at Amanda Kupillas Dance LLC. In addition to vaccination requirement, teachers will also be masked while teaching in the studio .
